This is a stupid question asked in a stupid way. So. For arguments sake, let's say you wanted to get salmonella. You have some raw chicken meat that's magically containing enough salmonella to make you woozy just by looking at it. The thing is, you don't want to eat it.
So, let's say you have a big scar on your arm or hand or something and you just smother that chicken on the freshly picked scab, scrubbing like it was a soapy washcloth. Could this give you salmonella poisoning or is this threat limited to making you sick through the gastrointestinal track (eating it raw)?
I ask because I always wondered if I was making dinner with a little cut on my hand if I could potentially get poisoned. :P
