Chickens eating piosonous tumpet vine? WARNING gruesome...?

has anyone experienced problems with their chckens cohabitating a yard with poisoous but pretty trumpet vines. Many sites say the chickens dont bother with eating trumpet vines but one of my chickens was found dead the other day for no apparent reason. It's rear end look like it exploded...

  1. That was probably due to an internal broken egg.  I have seen that happen with a chicken before.  OR.. if it truly looked exploded.. like torn meat, then you probably are dealing with a prankster.  Some very sick kids and teens will put a bottle rocket into a frog or a chicken


  2. Chickens die of all sorts of things, may not have anything to do with it eating anything. It could have been old, it could have died in the heat of the day, or some other animal could have gotten to it. It could have simply been sick as well. No telling. Take it to the vet for a narcopsy, autopsy if you really want to know why it died.
