  1. Ours do all the time! just make sure they have something to get under if they want to get out of the rain, we have an old table with a bit of dry straw underneath it.  If they get really cold because it is late in the afternoon, my big softies of girls, go out with an old towel and rub them down before bed time, but ours are very very tame.  They love a good scratch in the rain.

  2. Of course you can.Mine love it when it rains cause the worms come to the surface and the hens are waiting there for them.

  3. Yes it's perfectly ok to let them out . .

it won't harm them at alll ..

mind you they don't really like it ... and will most likely stay in their house/coop ..

which mine do =].. mind you they're spoilt

but they always come out straight after looking for worms

but it won't harm thmhem just make thhem a little soggy if they are out in the wet for a while

BUT that's what they have oil glands for

(which waterproofs the feathers to some exctent)

    damaging feathers permantantly?

what aload of nonsense (no offence)

the only way rain would damage feathers would be to a person

who "shows" his birds which would only make them a bit scruffier for a while after ...

because show birds have to be in tip top conditon .. always

    but no real damage

  4. As with any animal, they should have some sort of shelter if they are going to be outside.  Raining or not.

I had to giggle at your question.  It sounds like some strange title of a song or band name.  lol

  5. Do not let them out! The rain is very bad for the chickens feathers and can damage them permanently! Wait until it stops raining to let them out!

  6. Sure. I just don't know if they will actually go out until its stopped raining.

  7. As long as they have some sort of shelter to get under they'll be fine.  Ours are loose when it rains most of the time, they just hide under everything and look resentful.

  8. Yeah, you can let them out in the rain.  Myth says that they will look up into the rain with their beaks open and drown. I've never seen it happen. Turkeys are supposed to do it too.
