Swansea City’s newly signed defender, Chico Flores let out his excitement on being a part of the Welsh outfit, and revealed that he was loving life at the Liberty Stadium.
The Spanish International was signed by the Swans new manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/San-Jose-Earthquakes-c40434
last month, in which he scored a goal to help his side secure a 2-2 draw.
Despite the fact that the 25-year old is known to be facing communication problems at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, he indicated that his switch from Genoa to Swansea has been an easy one so far, and the entire squad has been very helpful towards him.
He told the reporters in an interview, “It’s been very easy to join Swansea City. It’s a very humble club; everyone from the players to the fans has been great to me from the very first day I arrived. I’m very comfortable with the city and been impressed
with the fans.”
The defender is expected to make his first appearance at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, during the Swans pre-season friendly match against Blackpool.
Even though the fixture promises to be nothing more than just a drill for both the teams, the Spaniard insisted that he viewed it like a competitive game, and let out his desire of making an early impression in front of the fans.
He continued, “After playing in the USA, I am really looking forward to playing at the Liberty Stadium for the first time. I know Blackpool is only a friendly, but it will be good to sample the atmosphere and show what I am capable of.”
Chico, who started his professional career at Cadiz CF, has had a nomadic career so far, which has seen him play for 6 different teams, before his move to the Liberty Stadium.
Meanwhile, the defender’s team-mate, Angel Rangel, who was acting as Chico’s translator, tipped him to become an instant hit at Swansea. He also expressed his admiration for his strong commitment and good leadership qualities, and believed that he would
prove to be a valuable asset for the Welsh club in the long run.
