The Bianconeri defender seconds Antonio Conte’s belief that the Rossoneri are favourite to take the Scudetto; insists the team is taking one game at a time.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giorgio-Chiellini-c14963 has admitted that Juventus are faced with a titanic challenge to beat AC Milan to the Serie A title this season, and joked that it is easier to beat the Diavolo in the video game.
The Old Lady are currently lagging four points behind the champions, and with the current form of the Rossoneri, the lead seems almost unassailable.
The Bianconeri coach recently admitted that AC Milan are the favourites to lift the Scudetto, and the defender thinks that considering the four-point lead, the statement has a lot of ground on reality.
While talking to Il Giornale, the 27-year-old said:
“I think the Coach is just being a realist. The Rossoneri are reigning champions and have four more points than us. It is certainly easier to beat them on the PlayStation than it is in real life.”
The defender pointed out that the Bianconeri’s journey to this point in the season has been nothing short of spectacular, and insisted that it is important to keep their feet on the ground. The defender insisted that the plan was to take each game as it
comes, and see where they can get at the end of the season. He insisted that the team at the present has all its energies focussed on the upcoming clash against Napoli.
“We are just taking things one game at a time, keeping our feet on the ground and concentrating on our next task which is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.”
The veteran defender is one of the most influential players in the Bianconeri ranks, and has attracted interest in the past from some of the top clubs in the game, including Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Chiellini insisted that getting linked to transfers is the part and parcel of being a professional footballer. However, he insisted that he is yet to receive a concrete offer from anyone.
“Well, if you are a footballer then it is inevitable that your name will be mentioned in a transfer story every six months.” He added.
