Child's Party?

Question

I want to do a buffet style meal for my Son's First Holy Communion, but am stuck as to what to include in it. Was thinking different kinds of salads with Turkey and Beef but being a child's day it won't go down too well and I really would prefer not to do hot food or get in caterers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

get some hot dogs, pizza, chicken and hamburgers.

and ice cream!

Why not do a big thing of sloppy joe's with chips and a couple of pasta salads?  You can keep it warm in a crock pot or roaster.
