  1. shes a dumn ***

  2. read read read while at home.  go to the library and book store for story hour.  talk about what you're going to read before you read the book, try to predict stuff like what this book might be about.  as you're reading the book, talk about your predictions and make revisions,....after you're done reading the book, talk about what happened first, then second, and so on and such.

    Good Luck

  3. There may be several things your school can do to help her. These are problems for the teachers and parents to solve, working together, and I'm guessing that they are already doing that.

One thing they cannot do is discuss her difficulties in learning with you. That's against the law, just as it would be for them to tell another student personal information about you. It's sweet that you are concerned about her, but legally, it's none of your business.

  4. I think you have to first understand WHY she does not understand what she is reading.  First of all, how old is she?  Has she ever been tested for this issue?  How long has it existed?  When you say she CAN READ, do you mean that she can sound out words, but does not know what they mean?  Tell me a little more...
