  1. uh my 1 year old says 14 word... but thats advanced

my cusion's kid is 2 1/2years and says only a few

every child is different and ur son might be a little shy or not very social, as far as talking goes

my cousin did have to get speach theorpy for her son b/c he didnt have the muscles to say a lot of words and was very shy

u might want to check into that in a few months if he doesnt add a few words

  2. It is normal. Normal ranges include first word at around 12 months and combining 2-3  words together anywhere from 18 months- 24 months.

If you are worried though, there is no harm in asking your doctor at his next appointment. No need to call and make a separate appointment though.

  3. It is very normal in most kids and even upto 30 months and above in the case of boys they could be struggling with complete speech. Enjoy the child's growth as it is.

  4. Most children can't speak clearly at just 14 months, But if your worried the first thing you should have checked is his hearing, Sometimes hearing loss can prevent a child from talking, Because they aren't able to hear to learn. But I wouldn't be concerned right now.

  5. It is Very normal. Most children need time. 24 mnths is a good time to evaluate speech patterns. That is when Most day cares do so. Also ur doctor can always help u decide whats normal for ur child. Everyone is different, and learn at different levels.
