Child Care jobs- nursery nurse/ TA in Nottinghamshire area?

Question

Hi i am just finishing off my CACHE Level 3 Diploma (DCE) at college and i am just wondering how people got started with job hunting/ Higher Education?

What should i do next? Any suggestions welcome.

Job hunting:

Write a CV showing what qualifications and skills you have, including any work experience.

Send to preschools/nurseries in your area:

http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/index.as... for TA jobs you'll need to look up Primary Schools in your area.

This way they can contact you if they have available space. In the meantime you may want to volunteer to get practical experience and also to show willingness in childcare. Will work in your favour in the long run! I did volunteering until I got a paid job and worked as a waitress in the meantime.

Higher Education:

I went through Open University to do Foundation Degree but you can go to college to get higher childcare degree or work towards one in setting. Otherwise you could go to university to study a full degree...there's a lot of options just depends on what you want to do:
