Child Education from Beginning?

Can any one tell. how it is necessary in current scenario to put our child in ENGLISH MEDIUM... or IN OUR MOTHER TOUNG...We are a typical middle class gujarati family..Me and my wife's english is ok but other members of family are not familier with english education... wher shd i put my child in english medium or gujarati medium...?? i have seen these days. illliterate people are also putting their childs at english medium school.. i dont know how they manage...can any one please suggest ....based on education psychology it is told that one should learn in mother tongue.. but current requiremetnt and a global citizen.. one must be educated in eglish medium... pls suggest

You should keep your child in gujarati medium,i am guj.and studied in gujarati medium,in later year of my life i taught english in CBSE school,but i do agree that our guj.medium school in mumbai taught English from std.1.The child should know great work og zaverchand meghani,Gandhiji and many others.You can contact me on 9825969826 for further details.

you better put your child in english medium.I would suggest this way becoz english is the most important language which one must surely know since it is an international language.

learning it right from childhood wil help the child to learn it thoroughly.

Entire thing depends on your expectation, Me also from Gujarat, I studied in Gujarati medium right now i am software engineer in Chennai. And you can not imagine, I have expertise knowledge in English you can etymologically expect any word's meaning from me, you can anecdotes as walking dictionary, It's not about the person who learns in their mother language or English medium, It's all about the recent trend and Envious feeling from their companions and neighbours, You would be thinking about your Neighbours and colleague only what their childs are doing? in which school they are studying? What type of computers they have? ,, It's entirely depends on  common human stupidity regarding any body's good fortune or status. So, As per my openion, put your child in L.K.G, Have a look at His/Her telant and curiosity and then you decide can he/she manage with English medium or better to put he/she in Gujarati medium.
