Ok, so, I help my mother teach summer camp over the summer. She teaches elementary school age kids. And, I think some of you know how complicated they can be. Anyways, there's this little punk in her class who is ALWAYS RUDE to the children younger than him and sometimes he's VERY loud and will dissrupt the class, and, whenever I tell him something or call his name, he acts like a little smart-alik. My mom can control him when he's smarting her off like telling him to sit out in the hall way or something. Plus, he's only about 2 years younger than me, and, I know he probably he doesn't see me as a teacher because of my age, but, how can I come up with some witty comebacks and make him see me as a teacher?

P.S.

Please, nothing with rude language!

THANKS!

  1. Instead of comebacks try to show a genuine love for the boy, he probably is needing the attention and love from someone.  Try turning tables on him and bring out positive things in him by focusing on his strengths.  Give him a compliment on something he's accomplished or something he is doing well.  Also try redirecting his attention to something positive that is going on. "Hey Billy, you are very creative...I think you'll enjoy the craft we're going to do today!"  You'll be surprised at the amount of respect you will gain just by giving out respect no matter what the age.  I've found this works in all relationships.  Try to look for something good in him and go from there. I hope this helps.

  2. threaten him with a shotgun. he'll shut up. Just kidding. Show him u mean business. Think of him as a private in an army and you as his sergeant.
