Question:

Child Protective Services?

I have a tenant who I am considering calling Child Protective Services about, but I'm not sure if my reason is legitimate, or if I'm just judging someone based on my values.

"Sarah" seems to be a good mother to her 6 year old autistic son, "Devon". The child is well dressed, well fed, gets to school on time, and is generally happy for someone who is autistic. Sarah never yells at or hits Devon, and they seem to get along well.

The problem is Sarah's promiscuity. For the year that I've known her, she's had AT LEAST 15 s*x partners (and I KNOW they are sexual because Sarah is rather "verbal" if you know what I mean). Her son is always there to witness all these men coming into the apartment, and then within minutes Sarah is moaning. I can't imagine this kind of environment is good for a 6 year old autistic boy.

Sometimes Sarah goes out and leaves her son alone with these men who she barely knows. It scares me to think of what could happen to Devon.

Should I report this?

  1. I would at least call and report it. Let them know that she is generally a good mom, but she is taking her son's autism for granted...like he doesn't know what's going on or soemthing. That can seriously s***w that kid up mentally. You have every right to be upset about this...I would be. Ok...well I'm a little more blunt..I would talk to her first but I know not everyone is like me. Good luck and I hope something will work out.

  2. I agree with the guy above me there. you should call and see what they say about it. I think that situation you described is disgusting and that woman has problems, but I dont know if anything illegal is going on. I dont think they would take away the child because his mom is a nymphomaniac or whatever she is.

  3. I would call someone ask about them. Just to see. if they think that it is a case, they can watch her. But i dont think that being S****y is a crime. so long you take care and feed your children and make sure they have what they need. Maybe he is sleeping or something in this time of her need. make it an annomyus call if you do. i would not tell anyone in the neighborhood you are calling to ask. then they might tell her and she might harm you or busting her chops about it.

    Good luck.,!

  4. I doubt CPS will do anything about it. The child isn't being abused, he isn't being neglected. Unless she or one of her guy friends hurt him, there isn't much CPS can do.

  5. Yes you should call child protective services. Because if she gone be doing that, than her son need to be with a foster mother, whos gonna do who him right. She should be out her mind leaving her child there by himself. She dont know if someone going to break in  or not. Also, i be d**n if i leave my little baby  boy with a house full of men that i bearly know. You never  know if they rape little boys or not. Well you should pick this as your best answer and you should call protective services. If i were you, i'd call right now when you read this message. it would make you feel better in the future and right now. But do it for you and your father god. goodluck.

  6. It couldn't hurt to just call and explain the situation?

  7. Well, I don't think what she is doing is illegal. It is however, unethical and immoral. Unfortunately, if there is no abuse and no evidence of neglect, CPS can't do anything.

  8. i don't think so, while you may consider it immoral to have so many partners it isn't illegal
