I have an open question for an exam..and im really STUCK! THE FULL QUESTION IS- (a) Outline the behaviourist explanation of learning (b) Discuss how well it explains learning?

  1. Yep, the behaviorists are all about learning through conditioning. These names should ring a bell (pun intended): Pavlov, Skinner, and Bandura. For the second part of the question, think about how these explanations are incomplete (for example, how much do the behaviorists emphasize behaviors controlled by thoughts?) I hope this helps without giving away too much information...


  2. Well if its talking about behaviorism then, children would learn by being reinforced.  They do something that is good and the parents reinforce the behavior so the child repeats it. If the behavior is punished or ignored, then the child does not repeat the behavior.
