Child care age requirements?

In NC, I know you have to be 18 to be a lead teacher, but from what I understand you can be an assistant at any age just as long as you have a work permit, and have the supervision of an adult 21 years of age or older. If this is right, what type of training does an assistant need.

I don't think they need any training, but you may have to get fingerprinted, background checked, and TB tested (At least in CA).  Not sure if they hire under 18 though....

You'll just have to ask, because it's different in every state
