Question:

Child custody? a little help.?

i am the legal guardian of my daughter since her mother died,however as i work offshore she has resided with her grandmother for the last 12 months. would my being away a lot or the amount of time she resided at her grandmothers affect my legal rights or open me up to a custodial case?

  1. it would not effect your legal rights as far as a custodial case it would depend on what the grandmother has on you that is negative


  2. it shouldn"t do no, at least your working to provide for your daughter which is the main thing,do you keep in regular contact with your daughter while your away for long periods?, i presume you do, so i don"t think you have much to worry about.

  3. Against who?  No, as long as your doing youre best and shes nt in harms way, you  have nothing to worry about here. You have made ample arrangements for her to be watched while at work so no problem there. We all must work and the kids have to be somewhere off the streets so the curts will side with you as long as shes in no danger
