  1. Background: Helps because social-culturists belief chidlren learn from world around them so their family, local community etc will be what they immitate...so a child who is only child with little to no other children in the family may have better speech from hearing so many adult words but may have poor social skills from lack of playtime with others their age.

Health: Children who are poorly may not feel like concerntrating, playing etc and so will not develop as well as a child who is active and attending regular preschool. Chidlren who are in hospital or have a long -term health issues may be differnet to a non-ill child as they may spend a lot of time surrounded by adults-doctors, specilialists and so may (As with background) not be so experienced in being with other child, may have difficulty separatng from parents. If childhas sickness where they ahve been in bed an extended period of time then their physical development may not be as advanced as their age.

Environment: Is the area around them poor or well off---poorer areas may have more built up flats, less safe playareas, no money for toys or educatioanl things in the home so child may not have accessed same as child who comes an area of safe playareas, outdoor space, lots of toys, equipment ,PC and Nannys and things. Also the learning environment in preschool: child must be stimulated to learn and develop...if furniture is too high they may not stay at table top activities for long and so may not have concerntration or skills gained from the activities, if there is no outdoor area they may not be have spacial awareness etc.

  2. they have evertrhing to do with one another

  3. Ok I did this course last year, not sure that I remember it much.

I'll give an example of how i understand it

If the child was living in a flat with no garden, and the family had little money. The child may not get access to the same pre-school education, healthy food and drink, toys, social interaction, fresh air for exercise etc. All these would delay the childs physical, social  & emotional development

Below is the book that I used. Most of the info you need is in it but you really have to search because its in a funny order.
