What are the laws in Ireland regarding allowing a 6 year old in the front seat of the car, they would be provided with the proper booster seat and be wearing a safety belt.

  1. thats fine in ireland you would not get done for anything .

  2. It is fine just make sure that you drive safe and buckle up.

  3. I'm not in Ireland (unfortunately) but you could probably call your local police and ask them.  Also, from a safety standpoint, if your vehicle has a passenger airbag, the front seat isn't the best place for a 6 year old.  If, however, there is no other option, make sure he/she is properly belted and in a booster seat and make sure the seat is as far back as it can go.

  4. If they properly fitted with the right safety stuff no problem, i put my 3 yr old in the front with me in his booster seat and the seat belt on i just push the seat right back thats all.

  6. Hi.....I don't care what country or state your from,  the safest part of the car is the BACK seat,  nothing else matters..    the cars they make now-a-days are c**p,  their a death trap..    My 6-year old rides in the back,  he loves it back there, like he's being chauffeured..       As a parent your the protector of that child, to raise them to adult hood without getting them killed..

if your the worlds best driver,  it's the other driver you have to be concerned with..     Good Luck,  hope you re-consider..:-)
