Child maintenance allowance?

does anyone know roughly how much child maintenance should be paid for 2 children if the parent earns roughly £1400 a month?

  1. If you go to www.csa.gov.uk you can input all your details on there, it should be around £280 a month but it depends on your circumstances, so if you are on income support i believe you are only entittled to £10 per week extra.

    also depends on how much the children stay overnight at non-residents house, how many other children live with resident parent things like that.

    I will warn you the CSA is a shambles i havent had a payment for a year!

    If you are still on good terms with the other parent then maybe consider a private arrangement.

  2. According to the CSA it is 15% of the non resident parents net income for the first child and 5% for every other child after that providing the non resident parent has no other dependants.  Beware the CSA though, they're idiots.

I'm not sure about your country.  I live in Virginia in the US and there is a web page that can determine it for you here.  You just need your income, his income, and how many dependants each person has.  I make $2600 per month and the non custodial parent makes $1500 per month.  He pays me $220.
