Child molestor lives down the street from us.?

There's kids playing outside all the time. What can be done about this? This guy was released recently and is prowling our streets now. Are there laws on our side? I don't want him hurting any kids.

The only law to protect you is that he has to register as a convicted child molester (or sexual predator) and you have the right to know he's there.  That's it.  Beyond that, it's up to parents to KNOW he is there and to WATCH their children.  If a child on your street is harmed by him, it will be the parents fault for not educating themselves and watching their children.

Has he hurt any of the children? He did his time, so unless he acts out again there is nothing any one can do. Justice was served, so I would leave it alone. If it bothers you that much, keep an eye on the kids and make sure he is not lingering to close.

Try to remember that if he's on the list, he's being watched, and if he does anything even QUESTIONABLE near your or anyone's children, he's going to pay dearly for it. He's probably walking on eggshells so that it doesn't even appear he's doing anything wrong.

It's most likely NOT him you need to fear. Just be cautious leaving your kids with anyone you don't know.

I WOULD BOOT HIM OUT!!!! GET HIM THE h**l OUT!!! MOLESTERS especially child molesters should go to HELLLLLLL. let ALL the kids know so they can be CAREFUL!!! GOD BLESS ALL THE Kids in that neighborhood

i live in an apartment i have a 10 month old little girl and i am 2 months pregant.my husband and i worried also when we found out there was 3 that live here..all you can really do is keep your kids near the front of your house and skip his house at halloween.maybe if you have a backyard let them play there or give them boundries.but i am going to add.i think he is a sickening "person" but you never know what really happened so don't judge you know just keep your kids away beause chances are he is bad.

Educate your kids -- Tell them not to go to that end of street, and to stay away from that guy (as nicely as you can) and you want to know immediately if he talks to them or their friends.

Teach them what behaviors are not ok, and to tell you if any adult acts in certain ways.....

Just teach or remind them of all of the safety rules as far as strangers go.....

Also - it kinda depends on what exactly the guy did -- No excuse for any of it -- the guy across the street from me is a registered s*x offender - he had s*x with a 16 year old - so I do not worry about him molesting my 4 year old...... See if you can find out what age / s*x etc this creep is into - because if he has molested kids your childrens age you need to watch them that much more!!

First, how do you know he is/was a child molester? There are other s*x offenses that require people to register. Make sure you know his conviction before you label him and spread any information.

Either way, keep doing what you do in order to keep your kids safe. You never know about anyone.
