Child rapists wont be on the death penalty?

child rapists will not be allowed to be placed on the death roll now according to todays supreme court ruling, do you agree? why or why not?

In this country, the basis for all criminal justice is that punishment must be proportional to the crime. Child rapists aren't executed because they didn't kill their victims. If punishments aren't proportional to crimes then there's no reason not to execute drug dealers or burglars or jaywalkers.

Where would you draw the line?

It’s an obscene travesty of Justice that the death penalty is not upheld for child rapists.

The Supreme Court failed our Nation, the Children of this Nation, and the whole of the International Community.

No words express my disdain for these scum, and I’m not talkin’ the rapists…

As long as the death penalty is an option at all, it should apply to child rapists just as much as to murderers. Personally, I would recommend obligatory castration, even for first time offenders. The damage they do is terrible.

The reason I would oppose the death penalty in general is not on principle, but because of the unfairness of human justice. We have not done away with kangaroo courts, even though we disguise them pretty well. Many innocent people continue to be condemned.  Add to that racial profiling...

Public castration would not be too good for these. As a father of a rape victim, I may be bias, but I wouldn't shed a tear if he was executed. Instead he got 4 years and eligible for parole in 14 months. He was released after 5 1/2 months on shock probation.

The death penalty is reprehensible for any reason. America is a backwash of morals. We claim to be a Christian country but we kill at the least provocation. Look at the other nations of the world that have the death penalty and ask your self if you want to be in their company.

All rapists deserve to die be it a child, woman, or an on the down low prison rapist, but I also believe that it has to be 100% proven that person did it, and they are not being fasly accused because the accused did something wrong to plss the accuser off.
