hello there

i am a Bangladeshi national who recently married an British Citizen. I got the further leave to remain stamp on my passport that says "no recourse to public funds". The thing is she is pregnant and we are expecting our first baby . Would she be able to apply for family tax credit or child tax credit when the baby is born ? I dont know if i ahve exoplained it well but what I am unsure of is whether this would affect my application for indefinite leave to remain in a couple months as in essence it is an application for both of us not just for me. Anyway if anyone has any idea i would be grateful for a reply

  1. i have found out to my cost that immigration reguards family tax credit and child tax credit as public funds.its ridiculous considering every working person with a child is entitled to claim!if you can do without it,i suggest you do..immigration are spiteful pigs who will get you on anything they can(just my humble opinion)
