  1. How about downloading it from there website or going and visiting them in person?

  2. this looks like your first time in dealling with these people.you have to ring and ring inorder to get a answer.as for the forms, when ive changed my details you should get another form on order say your changes and guess what they never turn up when you ring they just say its in the post how can it br if it never arrives.welcomr to the art of family tax credit.

  3. You are probably not the only person they have to deal with.

You will be in a queue.

I am sure that if they said three weeks then that is probably what it will be.

  4. Everyone complains about the service. If you have a live claim and they send you another form you really have to be careful as you will have to pay the cash back if you're already being credited and will affect your weekly payments which are based over 52weekly payments per year. Sounds absolutely simple but is insanely complicated and seldom if ever works to your benefit.

  5. We have never had a problem I think they are really helpful despite being under loads of pressure..

Yes, the post normally takes about a week to arrive, but that is probably down to the Royal Mail... Besides they probably send out tens of thousands every week...

Obviously, you must have known that you were going to have a baby so you could have been pro-active and requested the forms earlier... Why wait nearly 2 months before requesting the forms?

I believe they will back-date all payments up to 3months, so you won't lose out...

My only other advice is to be completely honest with them otherwise you may well end up owing them money by April and will have to pay it back through lower tax credit payments in the future...

  6. Keep at it. Our system is horrendous. One department does not know what the other is doing. You would think that once your name was on their files, you would be investigated for all benefits available, but that's not how it seems to work. The whole thing needs a big shake up. So many folk are missing out on benefits which they are entitled to because they have not filled out the twenty five forms necesssary!!! Surely, one application should be enough to alert the benefits system.. It's amazing that one application can be overlooked by so many departments, even though the folk who deal with them are sitting next to each other. The government keep going on about folk who have not claimed. If they made the system a wee bit easier than a graduate exam at Oxford, perhaps more folk would get all that they are entitled to!!!!

  7. This must  be your first time? This is just a sample of how incompetent they are. They can tell you when it was sent out - its on a screen in front of them as is every detail of your claim. When you do get the paperwork photocopy everything you send, make a note of every phone call and get a name off the person you speak to. This might help in future cos they are famous for their incompetence.

  8. keep ringing them they are pretty useless

can you download a form on their website? may be the quickest option!
