Child traveling alone, please help!?

Question

I have a child that will be flying alone but I cannot be there to see her to the gate,I can only be there to drop her off,what do I do?

She is 12 and a responsible person, what are my options for her flying, and basically the only flights I can find are connecting aswell.

any child can fly alone, but a minor needs to be escorted through security to the gate, so if another family member can not help talk to the airlines

if the airline know she is travelling alone they'll look after her.  i flew on my own all the time (i think i started when i was about 9) and i was ok.  Just make sure you inform the airline.

you can phone them in advance and let them know so that when she checks in they'll have some one come get her

You'll just have to make the time to take her to the gate. No 12 year old is a responsible person.
