  2. I would advise contacting your nearest college and doing the nneb or an nvq in childcare but think long and hard before you do it is messy children need constant attention daycare is hard long hours 9-6 some nurseries run longer hours the pay is very very low but good luck if decide to train

  3. thats what im looking for

just finished my 2nd yr at college (done two 1 year BTEC courses in health and social care at - one course at level 1 and 1 at level 2)

im looking for job in pre-school or nursery

or if i cant get any for a while i need to get some more babysitting work

i was advised by connections to see if i can do some voluntary work (help out occasionaly for a short while) or shadowing for a week (seeing what the person does and copy them basically.)

    below is what i sent:

    dear sir/madam

I am 18 years old and currently studying at Brockenhurst College for a BTEC First Diploma in Health & Social Care which I will complete at the end of June.

I am really interested in following a career in childcare, working in a pre-school or nursery.

I have enclosed a copy of my CV giving full details of myself and I would be very grateful if you would let me know of any suitable opportunities you may have in the near future.

I can assure you that you will find me enthusiastic to learn and very reliable.

Thank you for your time and attention and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours faithfully.

    ...

  4. What about it?

    Did that for 8yrs,

    was fun while it lasted.

    Then the job changed,

    too much paper work,

not enough time spent with the kids,

making their time away from m&d fun.

I enjoyed it when it was fun,it didnt pay well though.

All female work enviroment can get catty.

    Ended up changing my career.

Do it just for the experiance,

kids have lots to teach you!
