  1. Wow!  8-10/hr.  Goodness...for one child.  Personally I couldn't afford that. That's $85/day---425/week. $20,000/yr...  For ONE CHILD!  I guess it depends on the area.  Around here it's about $100/week for one child.  That's a big difference! I do in-home child care (not in Arizona) and can't charge more than $2.50/hr per child due to the area and the fact that others in the area only charge $2/hr because the state only reimburses at $2/hr.  I know in the city people pay $3-4/hr but $10?

I guess you had better check around your area and find out what other people charge.  You could also find out what the State of Arizona's reimbursement rate for those who qualify is and add .50/1.00 more than that rate.  You could also call child care centers around the area and ask for their infant rates and then lower yours a bit.

I wish you luck!  Have fun with the baby!

  2. I would charge a $10 an hour fee. Expecially since you have your AA in Child Dev. If you are a live in or live out Nanny they tend to make a little bit more and also depending on the income of the parent it can vary anywhere between $8-20 an hour.

  3. In UK would charge £5 an hour, so i guess thats $10 an hour.
