My Son is around 3 years old I need some tips to delvelop his skills

**Crayons and paper. write and draw, tape or fold to make shapes, buildings, whatever.

**play dough (make you own! science, math, and a bit messy! boys love this! just use a recipe, teach measurements)

**blocks, counting and organizing by shape/size

keep you lil guy busy, find opportunities in the environment (store, home, walk to park) to point out and identify shapes, colors, textures, smells, sounds, talk back and forth, play 'I Spy', pick up a  'fruit' or just a 'veggie' from the produce deptment. . make learning fun !!!

At this age he just needs to play and have positive interactions with you.  He's not ready to be "drilled with skill."  Just read together, play together, get dirty together and laugh together and he will do just fine!

There once was a book that was a bible for parents raising children.  It was by Dr. Spock - ever heard of it.  It has some interesting things in it  It became controversial and I haven't heard of it in a while.
