Childhood mentor praises the dedication of Zia ul Haq – Cricket News Update
Former first-class cricketer from Multan region, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nadeem-Iqbal-c78403 is all praise for the young left-arm fast bowler of Pakistan Under-19s, Zia ul Haq, and feels that the teenager has all the potential needed to make it big at the international level.
The young cricketer from Vehari has made a huge impression in the domestic cricket of Pakistan in the last one year. He has been an integral part of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757.
The left-arm fast bowler plays domestic cricket for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-International-Airlines-c831 (PIA) and has been consistently doing well, even though he is merely 17-years-old. Zia belongs to Vehari but he practices at Model Town Cricket Club Lahore and represented
Lahore http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 in the recently concluded Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 Tournament 2011-12. The youngster picked up five wickets on his T20 debut but his team lost in the semi-final of the tournament.    
Zia belongs to Vehari, which also happens to be the native city of former Pakistani captain, Waqar Younis.
While speaking to pakpassion, the childhood mentor of Zia, Nadeem revealed how he discovered the left-arm fast bowler. Nadeem expressed that Zia was a special talent from the very first day and hopes that the slim fast bowler will play for the country one
day.
Nadeem said, "Zia came to my attention when he was 13 or 14 years old when he attended a Pakistan Cricket Board talent hunt in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193, Vehari.”
The left-arm rookie belongs to a poor family and Nadeem revealed that Zia had to travel a lot on bicycle during his childhood in order to come to practice and training. The former first-class cricketer was all praise for the dedication of the youngster.
"For two years Zia would then cycle on a daily basis to the Gaggu Mandi cricket club to attend practice sessions and matches. Even when there were no matches taking place Zia would be the first to arrive for practice and the last to leave," he added.
