well, I have 2 living children from my first marriage that dont live with us as they are grown, my wife has a daughter from her first who is in College overseas, so we are childless,

Its nice sometimes, but we do like to hear from them and see them sometimes.

Children are a huge blessing, but, you dont have to have them, its up to what you and your partner decide.

My husband and I have been married for 2 yrs w/out children.  We are very happy without children, but plan to one day have children.  We feel that we can wait for children.  We are enjoying our our freedom to do as we want.  Once you have kids they will be with you for the rest of your life even as they become adults.  Many people think that once your kids turn 18 you get freedom back, but reality is most adults in their 20's and 30's are still relying on their parents one way or another.   So there is no rush to have children.
