Hi, I am trying to find out any information on a children's home in glasgow that would accept donations and volunteering. I have loads of baby/childrens items which i feel a children's home would benefit from. Any suggestion?

  1. They do not have large childrens' homes anymore, just small fostering type homes. They might not want to take direct charity but if you go to your local social services department they will be able to help you.

  2. sorry chris s your wrong we have 2 childrens home in our area and another with single mothers but if you go onto charities for children on the website im sure you will find something there wish there were more people who care about kids the way you do god bless x

  3. Children who live in homes in the Uk are properly funded by the LA. Your donations would be gratefully accepted by a women's refuge or refugee support group, both of which will not be adequately funded. Contact your local CVS for contact details.

  4. try children's centres - they may be more easy to access. Try:

    Ruchill Family Project

    61 Smeaton Street, Ruchill, Glasgow

    G20 9JS

    Tel: 0141 9451653

  5. I think that if you ask any church community they will guide you on what you could do with your items.
