Can some helpful people please sum up to me why the following forms of play are vital to a child's learning?

- physical play

- emotional play

- interlectual play

- creative play

- sociol play

- discovery play

- singing and dancing.

  1. well physical play helps the child with developement in all areas.

    emotional play helps the child to expand his/her emotional feelings.

    creative play helps them be creative.

    social is to help them to learn to play with other children and to learn to share.


  2. All of those areas make up each of us. And...each of us learns differently. Each child relies on these areas to allow for integration of information. So...If teachers help preschool children develop these areas early, then learning is easier for them later. Before kids went to preschool these areas of development  were met by playing at home with parents and friends and was self directed. Now, with single parents or both parents working longer hours,it's up to teachers and care givers to provide for developmental learning. By doing all of the above, a child develops creativity, social skills. intellectual skill and self reliance. Now you have helped create a strong and competent person.
