  1. My kids are 7 & 9 and my 9 yr old is one of those kids who is just sick a lot, allergies, mild asthma etc. She has taken Motrin for years because it works 10x better than Tylenol for her. I would say she has had a higher amount than the average child due to fevers etc. and she has had no reactions from it. But then I always tend to give her a hair under the reccomended dose.

It is sad what happened to her but I dont think it is from Motrin and honestly we all know there are chances when we give our kids any type of medicines.

  2. great med -know your child's dose as it's by weight.

  3. Somebody doped their kid up, had an allergic reaction or something totally not related flared, and now they want to get rich. It's ridiculous. I hope they don't get a dime.

    What they want:

Sabrina Johnson's family is asking for $14 million in actual damages and $103 million for the girl's and the family's pain and suffering, as well as punitive damages of $950 million.

Sounds to me just some ignorant, money hungry people that screwed up on medication.

  4. The parents of a girl named Sabrina Johnson claim she was blinded by Children's Motrin. She was hospitalized and nearly died in 2003 and says it was the drug that caused it.

Johnson & Johnson (makers of children's Motrin) said the drug was not positively linked to the girl's illness, and that the percentage of ibuprofen takers who contract the same illness is about the same as the natural, background level of its occurrence.

Sabrina Johnson's family is asking for $14 million in actual damages and $103 million for the girl's and the family's pain and suffering, as well as punitive damages of $950 million.

WAY out of line, in my opinion!

  5. All drug companies are sued like this.. They probably gave too much, overdose.

  6. It's my medication of choice when my boys have a fever. Reacts much quicker than Tylenol. I buy generic from Wal-mart and have never had a problem with Ibuprofen.
