Question:

Children's charities?

I am starting a club @ school next year. I want to raise money for children's carities. Any good ideas. One of the charities my club will be supporting is Invisible children. I would like the charity to maybe be small, and allow club members to have direct contact w/ children . A charity that would allow us to raise money to build our own school in a developing country would be ideal. Any ideas are great.

Thanks!

p.s this is for High school

  1. i just started a Make A Wish club at my highschool. we raise money to sponser a child's wish. it's going so well right now. good luck. :D

  2. To find a list of children's charities and also how to give without having any money (for example making children's quilts) stop by Charity Intersection.

There are sections on hunger, homeless, health, education issues and more. This site is great for anyone who doesn't know how to find a credible charity.

  3. Wow, there are so many options open to you for this!

Before committing to any one charity though, definitely do some research on the one you've chosen.  Check out this link http://www.charity-charities.org/ and browse through.  Also this one is sort of a "watchdog" group.  http://www.charitywatch.org/

St. Jude's is a good one, March of Dimes, Shriners, and of course, Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Good luck!  I admire what you're doing :-)
