  1. I must be in the same age group as I was wondering the same thing. lol    I wish I had an answer for you! Maybe it's because they figure we can afford glasses,. but not the inability to read.

  2. Kids need to have the words spaced out like that because they are new to reading.  Not all adults have bad eyesight.  I refuse to read large print books as they annoy me.  Also, most adult books come in large print.  My library had a huge section for large print.  Also, if you can't see well anymore it may be a good idea to get your eyes checked as you may need glasses.

  3. if the print in picture books were smaller then children will have a hard time of learning how to read and write. when the print is bigger they can depict every letter in every word which will help them with spelling.

books for older reader's have smaller print because adults have a larger vocabulary and don't need to know what each and every letter looks like. for example when you read "because" you don't even need to sound the word out or look at it for awhile before pronouncing it unlike a child.

  4. THIS IS BECAUSE LARGE PRINT ON CHILDREN'S BOOKS MAKE IT LOOK EASIER FOR CHILDREN TO READ, AS THEY GET OLDER THE LETTERS STARS GETTING SMALLER WHICH EQUALS TO MORE AND HARDER TEXT.
