Children Charity Donations?

Question

I have a box full of books for children and would love to donate them to a worthy charity that deals with children in the Croydon area as I have no car and would have to carry the books. Any ideas?

why dont you contact a childrens hospice, I am sure someone would pick them up, alternatively you could give them to a local hospital to put in the childrens wards, once again I am sure some one will pick them up.

The first commenter has a great point. also most charities have a van these days for the sole purpose of picking stuff up from people who couldnt donate it otherwise. it's worth asking around.
