I have a 4yo daughter who is about 105 cm tall, I was wondering if anyone knows what size bike would be appropriate for her height, I want to buy one for her birthday, hence the sneakiness.

Thanks for your time.

  1. I you go to the store a sales associate might be able to help you better. Tags might say something too.

  2. something with 12 inch wheels.  she has to be able to touch the floor at the seats lowest setting.

  3. In my experience, the child should try out the bike first.  Comfort is a big factor.

  4. Probably a 16 inch would be good. Most 16 inch bikes come with training wheels as well. 12 inch will be too small, you want to get something your child will be able to ride for awhile.

  5. The height of the seat should be at her waiste level! This is a request from the National Cycle Unit and Tavel Safety Department in the United Kingdom. This is a strong recommendation! This assures the seat is not to high and not too low. There for purchase a bike which allows the seat level to come to her waist.  The handle bars should be equal or higher than her waist.

  6. She needs to be able to put her feet flat on the ground while seated on the bicycle's seat.  This is for safety purposes.

    Most bikes have adjustable seats.
