  1. Dear Harsha,

    I don't think so,

    actually child labour law says that If any underage person involves in working forcefully.

    where as in ad's and reality shows it's not.......

    i think this type of activities helps our children to grow more and rapidly..

    also give them global exposure.......

  2. I think they make exceptions for children who are actors on television or celebreties of some sort.

    Normally to work in a store or something minors must be at least 14 years old legally (although stores tend to require them to be age 16).

  3. very well said Harsh,that's very true,but when you look at the stories of those parents who sell everything just for the sake of their child and their future upbringing,that makes me feel even more sad,as everybody are aware in India not many are from rich class,there are people below poverty level,hence when such kids are given an opportunity,parents try to utilise their children for better standard of living,this is the reality,such upper class families want more and more recognisation and popularity then kids become their source,both cases children are the ultimate vicitmes,they lose their studies,restricitions of playing,eating,no freedom,need more discipline,pratice,perfection,even if they are exhausted they need to push themselves harder and harder untill they achieve the set goal.Behind all these sacrifices is money,fame,power,populairty...

  4. A minor under age 14 may not be employed, except as:

    a newspaper carrier (at least 11 years of age);

    in agriculture (at least 12 years of age with parental/guardian consent);

    an actor, actress or model;

    a youth athletic program referee (at least 11 years of age/guardian consent)
