Children stuffs in Ho Chi Minh City?

if I want to buy children clothing & school bags in HCMC, where can i go? and do i need to cut the prices? if yes, how much shd i cut?

go to the big stores. Prices is always bargain in VN. If they ask you $10, you can offer them $1. Have good time in VN. Watch out for pick pocket.

Negotiate the price is the way to shop in Vietnam. If you don't, you will pay for things that are over priced. Depends on the merchandise, you don't want to offer a price that is too low, you won't get what you want either.

If you go to Ben Thanh, if they say $1000 dong (Viet Dollar)

you tell them $400-$500 they will sell it to you..In another words just chopped their price below 50% or more..but you must bargain with them..Hiiii goodluck

Go the Ben Than Market - there´s a hughe children´s section, so to say.

But hey, you should keep in mind that f.e. all the poisonned toys from Mattel China went to Vietnam for sale!

You can also go to a supermarket (big ones), like "Big C" close to the airport. In my opinion that´s the best place - you get everything and - the prices on the stuff are for locals and they are fixed prives!!!- on the market you get the tourist price and even if you think you made a good deal - check the prices in the supermarket and you´ll see that they fooled you!
