i am trying to find the size of the book, ie, front cover dimensions, anybody help please.

It depends upon which book you use.  Here is an Amazon link.  For most of the versions there is a listing of the dimensions of the book.

Have seen this as a usual size and also as a "big book".  Depends on what you want.
