Childrens books - does anyone recognise this book/educational product?

Years ago long before I had children, I used to see TV ads for a speaking book - the book had a pen and when you put the pen onto each word, the book spoke the word out for the child to hear.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? What is the name of that product?

  3. yeah leap pad

  4. Leap Pad! Those are awesome! When I was little I learned bunches from those.

You can buy the books for it and the pad itself here at Target!

  5. Sounds like a Leap pad!

They still make these.  It's like a plastic fold out case that has a 'talking' pen attached.  You buy paper books plus a cartridge that goes in it and you can 'read' different books and do activities.  As you said, when you put the pen on the word it 'says' it for the child.

  6. If its not the leap pad you mean then there is also a pen thing on mantra lingua (not 100% on spelling).
