  1. Well, sore means lots of things....red? tired? watery? infection? pink eye? conjunctivitis? discharge? irritated? burning sensations? and how old the child is........it will be helpful to have more details....like for children any kind of soreness in the eyes, needs to be evaluated by the Dr. for proper treatment.

I would assume just the grandmother's remedies, and I do it to myself. I wear contacts and sometimes my eyes get tired from work and the computer work, so what I do at night or as soon I get home, I remove my contacts, wash my face and make chamomile tea, a couple of bags, and I set them on my eyes, and I tried to rest, be careful that the bags don't release any herbs, but I even squeezed a little of the tea inside my eyes....it feels soo good, and I do it twice, meaning I prepared 2 more bags for clean start and I put them again for few minutes and I put them inside the tea again for warmer until the water is cold. My eyes are super better the next AM. I can even put my contacts in again.

But the best advise is given by the Dr., because if it's infected, antibiotics will be prescribed.

  2. Sore from allergies, sun burn? what? I will check back and see, ok?
