  1. Pigs in a blanket is great for all ages.  The kids love them and so do the adults!  They take a little time but they are soo easy to make.

2 packs of cheddar lil smokies (you can use the ones w/o cheese if you want...i prefer the cheese)

    4 tubes of cresent rolls

Unroll half a tube of cresent rolls out leaving the triangles connected

With your fingers, kinda "smoosh" the dough together at the precut parts to make a solid rectangle out of the dough.

With a pizza cutter, cut the rectangle in half long ways. The strip will be the width of a lil smokie.

Roll the smokie up and cut off the dough strip.

Place on cookie sheet.  Repeat until all smokies are covered.

Bake at temp directed by cresent rolls until dough looks light brown and flaky.

Its that easy and they are so yummy!  No forks needed!

  2. Children and adults love carrot , celery with ranch dressing.

do a cheese and cracker and they will have fun putting cheese on the crackers and have hot dog on stick ( cut the hot dog into peces). some else is good get a very good bread (toast it)  and use olive oil (can be flavor choices)

If you going Strict District there is Bread Shop  up if you going from Wholey.. Bread shop will have loud speaker to tell you what is good brand and you also can see the how the make the bread from window and that is fresh.

  3. Birthday parties for the most part consist of ice cream and cake for most people.

Having food can be very difficult because there are so many people to please.  Some are allergic to some ingredients or foods.  There's the chance of having the food sit around so long that it spoils and makes someone sick.  It is also expensive and chances are very little of it will be eaten.  Leaving much of it to be thrown away.

I think it's better to keep things simple.  If you have peanuts with the above; some children are allergic to them and can get very sick.

Most parties have some kind of games that kids like to play.  Some games can even be played outside.  Games that keep them interested and active makes the time go faster and they aren't bored.

Have a great birthday party tomorrow.

I hope some of this helps.

  4. I like pinwheel sandwiches made with tortilla wraps with cream cheese smeared on them thinly and ham on the top of it roll into a cigar shape and slice into small discs..serve with some ranch dip if you like you can also make them vegetarian with avocado slices and tomato or make bLT's with bacon lettuce and tomato slices.

also mini meat balls in bbq sauce..just use toothpicks to grab them not forks..and those lil smokie sausages are a good hit as well.

  5. We just had a party for my sister.  She served cherry tomatoes stuffed with a bacon mayo mixture - try allrecipies.com for the recipe.  Also this taco like app - avocado, mayo, tomato, onion lettuce and put it inside a tostitos scoop - they were very tasty.  Quiche inside a mini muffin tin is always nice.  Have fun!  Don't forget no matter what happens it will be fine - enjoy!

  6. get a sandwich platter if you have to and a veggie tray maybe

  7. you did not say the time but imagine it is mid to early afternoon... sooo

    why no forks??? anyway

quiche - store bought and cut like pie so you could use as a finger food... there are personal size ones in the freezer section that would be perfect for this and you can even cook in micro, I think they are made by Nancy's... they are really pretty good!

a subway foot long cut to 1-2 inch sandwiches

    pasta and seafood wraps

    chicken salad in mini crusts/shells

    hay rollers/high rollers

ham, asparagus and onion cream cheese rolls (bake for about 3-4 min. just to warm and toast, can also wrap in white bread

    deviled eggs

    ramakies

    egg rolls

    wings

    quesadias

good luck!  Hope this helps a bit, I would go with anything you can buy at the store to start as you will have a lot on your plate.

  8. Do you have time to go to the store?

You can make finger sandwiches...egg, tuna, chicken, ham etc..

You can make pigs in a blanket (kids will like too) 1 pk of hot dogs or sausage, 1 cn of croissant dough. Wrap each dog and bake for 10 min. Yummy...serve with a spicy mustard/mayo mix.

    French Bread Pizza...easy and cheap.

    7 layer dip

    chicken curry salad pita pockets....

    Good luck

  9. Fruit tray, veggie tray, sausage balls, mini quesadillas, mini pigs in a blanket, sandwich tray, fruit dip made from cream cheese and marshmellow creme, I can't think of anything else at the moment.
