My Rose molted Nov 07 and comimg up for another molt soon as she hasen't eaten in months.

  2. put some food in there and leave her alone for a couple days if the food is still there take it out and try again later.

  3. Sometimes they don't eat for up to 6 months before molting.  Here is an excellent website that discusses this in detail:

  4. as long as her abdomen is plump i wouldnt worry too much, ive had taranutlas go almost a year and then feed again. i dont feed insects or crickets to mine, get a piece of meat, (beef heart i use) about the size of an oxo cube and put it in with her. if she doesnt take it after two days then throw it out and try a week later.  contrary to belief their food doesnt need to be alive. i have reared spiderlings to adulthood on nothing other than beef heart. crickets can kill a tarantula, especially when they just molt and you dont realise the cricket is still in with the tarantula, whereas meat can do no harm at all as long as you dont leave it in there to go mouldy. good luck...

  5. maybe she is piSSed off at being held captive. she is a wild creature and should be in the wild.

  6. I wouldn't worry to much as long as her abdomen is big enough. These are her reserves and can live on them for a long time.
