Chili's bar and grill?

Question

why should i work for chili's? i love the food there but i have a interview tomorrow and im sure they will ask me that. and right now my mind is blank.

That line is a good one that any restaurant will want to hear.  I'd be surpised if you didn't get the job after using that line.  As longs as your appearance is acceptable, then it's cool.  Appearance is important because the person who interviews you will assume you plan to dress that way when coming to work so dress to impress also.

Just be honest.. I worked there for 2 years & I absolutely loved it.. It was a lot of fun & the possibilities there are great.. It's definitely a job that you can move up on.. Good Luck , Hope you get it!

Because it has such good food and is known for it's fine service is the reason you want to work there, as you know there will be lots of customers and you can earn very good money, better than you could at other restaurants. It is that simple.

Check their web page.  For instance I just learned that

"Chili's is a proud sponsor of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® in the fight against childhood cancer. "

You will probably learn some things about Chili's that the manager interviewing you does not even know!  :)  Also, it is worthwhile to do a search to see if they have been in the news recently or not.    If so, you want to know in case you are asked about it.  

Chances are you are going to be asked questions that are more the "what would you do if"

- a customer does not like his food

- you spill something on a patron

- there is something wrong in the order.

Good answers to these kinds of questions will get you the job.

Because you're very interested in working in the food industry and have aspirations to become a chef one day (even if it's not true, say it anyway). Tell them you want to work in a fun, fast-paced environment and hope to learn a lot. Let them know you're great under pressure, as restaurants can tend to become very hectic and busy. Good luck!
