has anyone been? do u need an initial lesson before going on the slopes? x

  1. Hey there

    Yep, you'll need lessons before going on the big slope. You need at least 6 hours worth of tuition on the nursery slopes before getting on the main slope.

    You start off with a taster (an introduction to ski or snowboarding - whichever you choose!) then progress to the core beginners course (set of three over 3 weeks, same day and time each week) or one full day lesson (6 hrs + 1hours break for lunch.) Once you've done that then hopefully you'll be ready for the main slope. Sometimes though, it requires a few more lessons.

    I don't know how old you are, but they are running kids summer schools at the mo for

    8 - 17 yr olds. They teach you how to ski or snowboard with others your own age and you get to try out other activities too such as tubing or luge. The summer schools start from £49+.
