Chilli Green set likely to thrive in Attheraces.Com Handicap
Chilli Green is all set to garnish her portfolio with the ace title of Exclusive William Buick Blog On Attheraces.Com Handicap (Div II), a high-voltage Class 3 contest that will take place at Ascot racecourse on Friday, May 11.
When the action begins at 8:20 (GMT) on the soft track of 6 furlongs, the Lee Carter-trained bay mar will run against four potential rivals including Swiss Franc, Batchelors Star, Masked Dance and Matsunosuke. The winner will be offered a prize cheque of
£7,116.
Chilli Green has been enjoying great form since the dawn of the calendar year. During January, the maverick mare gained a 5th and a 2nd position in a row.
The five-year-old talented sprinter marvellously clinched top spot in a big race at Kempton on February 15. She was 7-2 favourite for that event.
The brilliant daughter of Desert Sun out of Jade Pet finished 3rd against a dozen of competitors in her last outing on Mary 19. As a whole, she has won 3 of her total 22 starts so far.
The way she performed in the last four races depicts that the mare is awash with momentum that will help her thrive in the Handicap. Her chances to finish first are as high as 90 percent.
Among the other runners, Matsunosuke and Swiss Franc are likely to do well today.
Matsunosuke poses to the most experienced of all on the card. The Dr Richard Newland-trained bay gelding has won 16 of his total 107 starts so far. The veteran horse last ran on January 13, 2011. During his off-field period of more than a year, he has gone
through a lot of training. Now, the gelding looks to be quite confident to make a big impact.
On the other hand, Swiss Franc has two triumphs to his name. David Elsworth’s brown gelding has run for 22 times to date. He is also carrying immense form at the moment.
The competition will be tight and awe-inspiring but Chilli Green is likely to manoeuvre success to her favourite convincingly. Good luck to all the runners.
