  1. Actually this is a British event and their rules are a bit different than ours, if I remember correctly their Novice is similar to our Training -- at any rate, rules are as follows:

    The Show Jumping Test

The show jumping is governed by BE rules with the appropriate heights and speeds

    for the class.

Show Jumping Novice Two & Three Day

    Max Height to 1.15m

Max Spread at Highest Point to 1.40m

    Max Base Spread to 1.90m

Cross Country Novice/Open Novice Two & Three Day

    Steeple Chase -

    Max Height 0.60m

    Max Height Brush to 1.30m

    Cross Country -

    Dimensions of Obstacles

    Max Height to 1.10m

Max Spread at Highest Point to 1.40m

    Max Base Spread to 2.10m

Max Spread - Without Height to 2.80m

    Max Drop to 1.60m

Jump into Water - Max Depth to 0.30m

    Max Height Brush to 1.30m

Dressage Novice/Open Novice Two & Three Day

    Novice test 122

    (2006) (2001)

    or

    Novice Test 123

    (2001)

  2. If this is an unaffiliated novice course, the jumps will be about 2ft 6".
