Chilvary was made because women werent giving the same opportunities in thee old days. Now that women are succeeding in the world and equality gap between gender has tremendously closed. Why are alot of women still trying to find a man that can support both of yall and a family(borderline gold digger / or I wana grow up to be a house wife) ? Chilvary- going above just courtousy from just from MEN to WOMEN is and should be dead and common courtousy should be the new standard for women/people to show respect. Also ladies we need to be more assertive if we want a good man . Start up a convo(stop hopeing he'll notice you or using normally unnoticable body signals) , and ask them out( especialy after a good first date that he paid for). Men stop torelating the old fashion ways woman. Its usually a bs way for women to not pay for things, stop paying for EVERY date, and use your personality not ya money to attracted the ladies and you'll find a good women that'l love YOU. What do yall think

  1. Call me old fashioned, but I don't really mind chivalry, and the vast majority of women I've dated don't seem to mind either lol.  There's nothing wrong with wanted to be a housewife.  h**l, if my wife made loads of cash I wouldn't mind being a housedad.

That said, It would be nice if women would speak up once in a while and start a conversation, or actually ask a man out for a change.

I think if you want chivalry dead, start with those things, i.e. changing women's behavior, not attacking men who hold doors for their dates and pay for meals most of the time.

  2. Why do you put spaces between the last word of a sentence and its punctuation? It's not a big deal, I'm just curious.

  3. IDK.  I think that personal lives should be personal, and to each their own.  Your way is fine.  Some men want to pay, and I wouldn't go so far as to call a woman who wants to be a traditional wife a gold digger.  There usually isn't THAT much money involved, and she certainly does her part at home.

  4. I wish it was that easy.

  5. I agree.

    Easy two points.

  6. i am for common courtesy i have no need for chivalry that only works and is wanted from guys who are actually wanted.

  7. I disagree.

    Level 1, 28 points.

  8. I thought it was "Ye old days"?

  9. You seem like you're too willing to please men. Bend over backwards to make the guy comfortable right? You seem way to eager to give yourself over.

Have you no fantasy life? Do you not know what you as a woman want? I'm doubting that you've ever experienced the pleasures of chivalry.

  10. The men must be breaking down your door to go out with you. Is it so difficult to accept male courtesy. I'm guessing you are not a Christian.

  11. I agree with a lot of this, but chivalry serves a biological purpose.

Men are conditioned by millions of years of evolution to protect the women and children, even at the cost of their own lives, because the woman is the breeder.  if men are killed, other men can produce babies with multiple women partners.  Women cannot produce more babies by having multiple partners - they're not cats, in other words.

Does chivalry make women dependent on men?  Not necessarily, women can still choose to be independent.

But the concept has worked for millions of years - I'd be hesitant to throw it away.

  12. How about a new chivalry? Not one that is based on the notion that a lady is helpless, as in days of yore, but one that is based on manners and good grace?

Personally, though I am self-sufficient I still appreciate a chivalrous gesture.

  13. Ah... you feminazi's do yourself a disservice.  You had it much better during the days of chivalry, when a man would do anything for a good woman.  Women may not have equal stature with men, but the certainly wielded much more power over men.  Now you don't need men. Sounds to me like you've screwed yourself (pun unintentional... maybe).

  14. No, I love chivalry.

  15. Chivalry does not have a lot of meaning for me, but a great many women set a lot of store by it and it goes down really big with them.  If it gives both them and the men pleasure then I don't see anything wrong with it.  I don't personally want a man to do things like opening doors for me, helping me on with my coat etc, but if it gives pleasure to women (and it does seem to give a great deal of pleasure to many) then what's the harm in it?

As for being a stay-at-home wife, I see that as an entirely seperate issue from chivalry.  if you have got a husband who can afford to support you and a family, then it makes sense to stay at home and not dump the children in daycare.  What's the point of paying a stranger to look after your children when you could do it yourself? Why be stuck in some tedious office all day long when you could be enjoying your children while they are still young?

Your implication that women did not succeed in the world in past times, simply because they were not 'equal' to men is highly dubious.  In the days when chivalry was developed hardly anyone was considered equal to anyone else, society was very hierarchical, but that did not mean that women did not make an important contribution to society.  Without the contribution of women, society could not have existed at all.

  16. By George, I think you've got it!

Someone should draft YOU to run for President, or Prime Minister or Queen or whatever.

Now let's hear you discourse on foreign policy and the economy.

    (This should be good.)

  17. I can agree to this I think.

But the problem arises when your strongly attracted to someone biology/hormones kick in and your willing to do anything just to get to know the person.

Some people have self restraint. Most do not.

Most women except those courtesy's not because the vast majority are gold diggers( I suspect a sizable portion are but not a clear majority) but because they don't want to offend there date.

But all in all your message is a correct one, or at least one that is worth reading.

  18. No, Johno it was ye olde w***e house.
