China's female gymnast

Question

I seriously think that they had those girls lie about their age. They looked like they could be a lot younger. If their actually 16 and older that would be crazy! What do you guys think?

I think that they are all 8 years old and that we can't investigate it because China has a dirty communist government who will lie and say they are of age.

I think the other gymnast were 16 and above, except He Kexin.

Wikipedia state that "her age as of 2008 has been reported by the Chinese press as 14, and her birthdate has been given by the Chengdu Sports Bureau and other registration sources as January 1, 1994, which would make her 14 years, 220 days old during the Opening ceremonies, and therefore too young to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics. In addition, in a November 2007 speech in Wuhan, Chinese sporting official Liu Peng introduced He as a 13-year-old. However, on August 2 the IOC stated that they would not be investigating the discrepancy in He's age, stating that it was a matter within FIG jurisdiction."

And if you think about her birthday "January 1, 1992", the exact month, day and year that she'd be 16 in 2008.

I'm not sure if she's underage but a lot of possibility that she is.

They were small, but that's how some people look. I also heard gymnastics stunts your growth(for some)

look at their teeth.  When they smile you can see the missing baby teeth. I have yet to see a 16 year old with missing baby teeth you can see. even an 11 year old watching the games commented on the teeth.

Those girls were under aged. China cheated and they used a tape during opeing saramony for the singing  girl

I do too....There are reports that the Chinese government altered birth certificates to say that these girl's are much older than they really are.  It's widely known. A Chinese gymnast came out and said that when she competed in the Olympics 4 years ago that were in Greece she said she was 14. A U.S. coach has filed a complaint with the Olympic comittee and they have said they will investigate.

Yes some people do look younger than their age but it is obvious many of those girls aren't 16.

they are definitely younger than 14. its blatantly obvious when they smile...i mean seriously, 16 year olds dont lose their teeth. some look like they have a full set of baby teeth

I think Asian women look younger because of their body type and the rate at which they develop. So they very well could be the age they say, and may not look it. To me looking young is not a bad thing.
