China Open and Japan Open, Nenad-Daniel reach quarters, Wesley-d**k defeated in Tokyo
Two seeded sides avoided opening round departures in the second successive season at the ATP China Open competition in Beijing on Wednesday.
Second seed duo of Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor, the winner of five tour-level trophies in 2010, improved to a match record of 42-14 on the year after firing a total of seven aces to surpass Denis Istomin and Andrey Golubev in two sets on Wednesday.
The final match score was 6-4, 6-1. The clash concluded in a time period of fifty seven minutes in Beijing.
Meanwhile, fourth seed duo, Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg registered their 28th victory of the season and third straight one over Albert Montanes and David Ferrer from Spain in two sets. The final match score was 7-6(7), 6-4. The clash
concluded in a time period of seventy-five minutes in Beijing. They only missed eleven points on serve.
In other action at the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Tournament in Tokyo, Viktor Troicki and Christopher Kas ousted d**k Norman and Wesley Moodie in two sets on Wednesday. The final match score was 7-6(3), 6-4. The clash concluded in a time period of seventy-six
minutes in Tokyo.
The Serbian-German duo won seventy-five percent of points and blasted a total of seventeen aces, whereas Norman and Moodie fired ten aces and could only create and convert a single break point chance. The pair currently ranked number four in the world, as
a result of this loss has dropped to a match record of 25-15 for the year.
Meanwhile, Michal Mertinak and Frantisek Cermak, who reached the semi final of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals back in 2009, prevented all four break point opportunities they faced to beat Andy Roddick and Thiemo de Bakker in two sets on Wednesday. The

In the singles action, last week’s Bangkok winner Guillermo Garcia Lopez, hammered down sixth seed Feliciano Lopez in two sets on Wednesday. The final match score was 7-6(5), 6-4. The World number thirty-nine won eight one percent of his service points to
advance into his fifth ATP World Tour quarter or better in 2010.
Garcia Lopez, who made his way into the quarter in Tokyo back in 2002 and 2007, failed to convert any of his four break point chances and dropped to a match record of 26-20 for the season.
