Question:

China Pollution-Dams and Stakeholders?

Hi! I'm doing a research project on China and it's water pollution. I have a couple questions:

1) Will the Three Gorges Dam help with the water pollution in the Yangtze River? Can dams help with pollution in general?

2) What would three main stakeholders be for the water pollution in China? For sure I know the government is one.

Thanks!

  1. 1. No.  Dams block up the water and canleech pollution from the land that is inundated.  It could get better if they install pollution controls, but I bet they don't have any.

    2.  Industry.  Businesses that want low-cost products.
